Thanks for your views, on the 720P versus 1080P.

I am stuck with a 26 inch (or 27) diagonal TV size limit (space), and presently have a Samsung. I DO NOT HAVE CABLE. I use an indoor antenna. Some channels broadcast in 1080 i. is this any advantage over 720 p.

Biggest gripe, and reason I won't buy so much as a used toothpick from SAMSUNG ever again. You can't tune their TVs to any channel you want; only the ones the TV set says you can watch. So how the hell are you supposed to position your antenna properly, if you can't even tune in the channel.

Why don't digital TVs have an "ALL CHANNELS ON" position, or at least offer manual setting of ANY CHANNEL(S).

My Panasonic DVD/VHS player has a built in tuner that CAN program in ANY CHANNEL. So I am going to use that tuner to pick up channels; and feed that to my dumb stupid brain dead SAMSUNG TV.

All the TVS and computer monitors in the house are SAMSUNG. I'd like to trash the lot of them; even the 26 inch 1920 x 1200 monitor, that has a tuner but won't let you tune the stations.
